Hope for clubfoot babies in Samoa

From , 3:04 pm on 6 September 2016

It's hoped a bit of wool and a roll of plaster will help transform the lives of babies in the Pacific born with club feet.

A team of doctors from Australia has arrived in Samoa to train local medics in the Ponseti method of treating the deformity.

Polynesian people have a higher rate of club feet than other ethnic groups.

Orthopaedic specialist Peter Cundy told Sally Round the treatment is easy to role out and sustain.
