An opposition politician in Fiji Tupou Draunidalo says the new political group she's joined will aim to gain the support of the large number of voters who are undecided going into next year's election.

With an election due next year, a recent poll by Tebbutt Research showed 36 percent of people were undecided about who they wanted as prime minister.

Roko Tupou left the opposition National Federation Party in January and plans to lead the new grouping, HOPE, if it succeeds in gaining registration.

Sally Round asked her why she left the NFP.
