Tighter NZ immigration policies lead to big fall in migration

Tighter immigration policies have led to significant falls in the number of approved Pacific migrants to New Zealand over the past five years.

Despite record immigration levels in New Zealand, the number of Pasifika people being allowed in as skilled migrants or to live with immediate family has dropped by 28 percent since 2012.
