This weekend will see the launch of a new album that combines two creative forces from Tonga's past, the poetry of Queen Salote with the music of the great grandfather of members of the group performing the work.
The launch of Lomipeau Fika 'Uluaki 'o Aotearoa will be marked with a kava ceremony, a screening of the documentary film about the making of the album and performances from Pukepuke o' Tonga - the group behind the album.
Group leader Sesilia Pusiaki spoke to Shaun D Wilson ahead of the album launch at Māngere Arts Centre in Aotearoa.
