Norfolk Island business struggles under the yoke of Canberra

From , 5:01 am on 27 July 2017

It's been a year since Australian Commonwealth law was extended to Norfolk Island and a local importer says it's been a real struggle for his business.

Martin Cross says in the twelve months since Canberra shut down the island's autonomous legislature, his business has been straining under the weight of new red-tape.

Mr Cross runs a stock feed importer, which he's been building up for over 20 years.

He told Dominic Godfrey this last year has put his business in jeopardy.
