Tourists could help Tuvalu

Tuvalu's tourism authorities are looking at how they can grow the industry in a sustainable way that also spreads the story of how they are adapting to climate change.

The United Nations tourism organisation says last year Tuvalu was the least visited country with only two thousand visitors.

But the Tourism Officer in Tuvalu Paufi Afelee told Jenny Meyer any plans to expand the tourism sector cannot just copy neighbours like Fiji and have to be done in the context of the country's limited resources and current struggles.
