NZ's labour schemes for Pacific could improve

An academic says labour schemes that allow Pacific islanders to come to New Zealand for work could be run better

Auckland University Associate associate Professor of Development Studies, Yvonne Te Ruki-Rangi-O-Tangaroa Underhill-Sem has done research into development, gender and labour mobility in the region.

She began by telling Sara Vui-Talitu why she thinks the possibility of any major changes to the Pacific quotas or the Pacific seasonal labour scheme are slim.
