Macron wants a balance against China in the Pacific

The French president has sketched his view of how he would like the Pacific to be aligned in view of China's growing influence in the region.

Emmanuel Macron spoke in New Caledonia at the of a three-day visit as the territory nears its November referendum on independence from France.
