Save the Children in Vanuatu has set up large tents as temporary classrooms to help provide a sense of routine to children displaced by the Ambae eruption.

Most of the 10,000 residents of Ambae have relocated to the islands of Maewo and Santo.

The NGO says that includes about 2,000 children, but there are not enough schools or teachers available to accommodate them.

Its Vanuatu country director, Georgia Tacey, told Amelia Langford that so far the group has set up seven tents on the island of Maewo, where there are about 800 displaced children.
