Plans for Rongelap to become special administrative province

There are plans for Rongelap atoll in the Marshall Islands to become a special administrative province, with loose visa and tax requirements opening it up to foreign investors.

But a draft bill for the project circulating the parliament in Majuro has sparked concerns that it will undermine sovereignty and worsen perceptions that the Marshall Islands is a tax haven.
