Government, community and business leaders from the Pacific are meeting in Wellington next week to try to 'reset' the relationship between New Zealand and the Pacific.
It follows the New Zealand Government's commitment earlier this year to a 'Pacific Reset'.
The Council for International Development, the umbrella group for NGOs in New Zealand is giving NGOs and Pacific countries the chance to respond to the plan.
The council's executive director, Josie Pagani, told Don Wiseman there's optimism about modelling a different way of working together.
