Pacific concerns about China overstated - Lowy director

From , 6:04 am on 28 November 2018

The Pacific director of Australian think tank, the Lowy Institute, Jonathan Pryke, is in New Zealand to launch the body's Pacific Aid Map.

The Map is an analytical tool designed to improve aid effectiveness in the Pacific by shining a light on who is contributing what funds, and where the money is going.

And while he is here he is also discussing concerns about growing Chinese influence in the Pacific.

Don Wiseman asked Mr Pryke about the apparent hysteria in Canberra and Wellington about the growing Chinese presence in the Pacific.
