Atypical weather patterns set to dominate tropical South Pacific

Droughts or above average rainfall are likely for much of the South Pacific in coming months.

A climate scientist at New Zealand's national science body NIWA says these atypical weather patterns have dominated the region in recent months and are forecast to continue.
