But, there is a catch. For a safe drug like paracetamol to have a toxic effect on a tumour, a person would first need to undergo gene therapy.
To explain what gene therapy actually is, and how it might one day be used to treat cancer, Gabi Dachs first shows Ruth Beran the human cell lines in the tissue culture lab that they're using for their research.
