The clothes that define the South from fashion label NOM*D have graced the catwalks at New Zealand Fashion week every year since its inception 10 years ago. Margarita Robertson is one of only three designers who has shown every year since New Zealand fashion week began along with Zambesi and Trelise Cooper.
Andrea Grom of Christchurch was absolutely determined to bring the heavy metal band Metallica to Christchurch when the rockers announced they were coming to New Zealand. When Auckland was announced as the venue, Andrea didn't give up, she turned to Facebook where 20-thousand fans joined the chorus of calls to bring Metallica to the South Island. It worked. Metallica will play not one but two concerts tonight and tomorrow night.

Prostate cancer is very common in men as they age, and the most common treatment for prostate cancer has been surgical removal of the prostate. But a prostate specialist from California, Dr Mark Scholz, suggest that of all the thousands of men diagnosed with prostate cancer, a great majority will not have a life-threatening form of the disease, and will live a normal lifespan.
Mark Scholz's book is called Invasion of the Prostate Snatchers.
