New Zealand's newest world record holder is just about to pass through customs in Auckland after an incredible 4 month, 18-thousand nautical mile journey. Graeme Kendall is the first person to sail solo through the treacherous Arctic Northwest Passage. The narrow stretch of water north of Canada and Alaska the is called the Everest of the sailing world.

Panmure Community Constable Janet Briggs is now patrolling the reserves or the "green highways" throughout the Tamaki area, from Panmure to St Heliers, on her 12-year-old horse Scout.
It's no horsing around for this pair. On Scout's very first day on patrol, they pursued a man on bicycle who has been wanted for two burglaries. Unable to outride Scout, he was boxed in until back-up arrived and was subsequently arrested.
Lisa Thompson caught up with Constable Briggs and Scout during a recent teacher's strike. They had been asked to patrol Mission Bay to keep an eye on students who had the day off. She asked who gave her permission to swap the patrol car for Scout…
