Panmure Community Constable Janet Briggs is now patrolling the reserves or the "green highways" throughout the Tamaki area, from Panmure to St Heliers, on her 12-year-old horse Scout.

It's no horsing around for this pair. On Scout's very first day on patrol, they pursued a man on bicycle who has been wanted for two burglaries. Unable to outride Scout, he was boxed in until back-up arrived and was subsequently arrested.
