2:10 The MC Limerick - Tim Smith
Heritage staff in Australia are looking for help today, in tracking down the relatives of a young kiwi sailor who died at sea during World War II. William Rush, from Havelock North was on board the merchant ship Limerick when it was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine off the coast of New South Wales. The ship went down, and though most of the crew were saved,  William  was one of two young officers who perished in the water.
Now, 70 years later, the wreck of the Limerick has been found, and Australian authorities are trying to track down anybody with a connection to William Rush. Tim Smith is from New South Wales Department of Environment and Heritage in Parramatta.
