2:10  The Air Safari - Ian Sowman
Up, up, up they go, those marvellous men (and women) in their flying machines. Well, they've gone up. They've been in the air all week, in fact. Pilots from all over the world are flying in the Air Safari, which has been taking place for the last 7 days in the skies above us. The safari kicked off last week at the Hood Aerodome in Masterton. Thirty five planes are taking part this year, including representatives from Hong Kong, Doha, and Papua New Guinea. But none perhaps, are as enthusiastic about it as Napier pilot Ian Sowman. He was so keen to take part this year, he built a plane to do it!

2:20  The Hip Op Crew - Maynie Thompson
They're the oldest hip hop crew in the world, and they aren't afraid of competition!
When the National Hip Hop Dance Championships take place in Auckland next month, the Hip Operation Crew, AKA The Hip-Op Crew,  from Waiheke Island will be one of the biggest crews in the competition. And their size isn't their only distinguishing feature.
There's also the average age of the crew members, which is somewhat higher than the rest of the competitors...
No member of the hip Op's is younger than 65 and the eldest is 96 years old. Maynie Thompson is the second eldest dancer in the Crew. She's 94.

3:12 Tune Your Engine - Friendships - Dr Irene Levine
There are people with whom we share our best memories and sometimes secrets. They are the ones who know us warts and all, who'll stand by us not because family ties require it, but out of choice.
The science of friendship includes research that shows how friends can help lower heart rates and blood pressure during times of stress, improve our immune and digestive systems, and increase longevity. Friendships can also be a source of great pain and stress in our lives.
Dr Irene Levine is a Psychologist and author of Best Friends Forever: Surviving A Breakup with Your Best Friend.
She writes about friendships for the Huffington Post,  and her blog about friends gets questions from all over the world.
