All sorts of animals and insects - from glow worms, to killer bees, to bats - have been used in warfare. And a Victoria University academic has discovered that, in many cases, the species made large contributions to the war effort. Dr Keren Chiaroni is a senior lecturer in French at the university, and an animal enthusiast. Her research on the role animals have played during war time will be presented later this week
