2:10 Pete Seeger Tribute - Peggy Seeger and Kitama Cahill-Jackson
Presidents and pop stars are paying tribute to a man who was the voice of folk music and social justice for 70 years. Pete Seeger has died at the age of 94.  From the Civil rights movement to opposing the wars in Vietnam and the Middle East, he believed in the power of music to unite people and inspire change.  He opposed McCarthyism, marched beside Martin Luther King and led environmental campaigns. With his trademark five string banjo, he influenced so many  other singers like Bruce Springsteen, who called him a "citizen artist"  Joan Baez, Dave Matthews, Rufus Wainwright, John Mellencamp and Arlo Guthrie.
Jim Mora talks with Pete's famous sister, Peggy and grandson Kitama Cahill-Jackson in New York.

2:20 The West Coast Shipwreck Mystery -  Steve Wilkinson
It's an unlikely place to find a shipwreck, but that is just one of many mysteries that surround an historic find on the edge of the Carters beach settlement near Westport, about half a kilometre from the sea.
Back in the 1960's, a farmer unearthed a section of the ship in his paddock. It was mostly forgotten until Buller District Council staff disovered what may have been part of the mast while putting in a pumping station near the West Coast Road. Local amateur archeologist Steve Wilkinson never stopped asking questions  about the wreck. He was able to bring together a team of Archaeologists and historians to have a closer look a few years ago. Now he's trying to convince the Buller District Council to allow a new archological dig to finally uncover the mystery.
