2:10  Auckland Bang Mystery Solved - Air Vice Marshall Mike Yardley: Some thought it was thunder ... some said explosions ..one person even suggested a meteor strike. A series of mysterious sounds had thousands of people grasping for answers across western and northern parts of auckland yesterday.
Social media was full of theories.. but the New Zealand Defence Force can confirm its Kaipara Bomb Range is likely to be the source of explosions.

2:20  The Running Man - Kevin Carr: Ultra-marathon runner Kevin Carr is running up the country, in an attempt to become the fastest person to run around the globe. The 33-year-old UK-based athlete has already run halfway around the world, and is trying to set a Guinness World Record for the fastest circumnavigation. His started his run in England last July, and he hopes to run more than 29,000km, over six continents before the end of 2015.

3:10  Emily's Story - Emily Short: Car crash victim, Emily Short, is planning to meet the drunk driver who crashed into her car, and says she has sympathy for him, even though he could have killed her and her unborn child.
The 20-year-old was hit by Colin George Martin after he had drunk vodka and crashed head-on with Emily's car at Lewis Pass late last month. Martin admitted the charges in the Christchurch District Court yesterday and Emily says she wants to explain to him just how the crash has impacted on her life.

3.20  The Dinosaur Lady - Veronika Meduna: Back in the 1970s, Joan Wiffen, a self-taught palaeontologist perhaps best known as New Zealand's dinosaur lady, discovered the first fossil dinosaur bone in a Hawke's Bay streambed. Decades later, fossil hunters can still find treasures in the area.
