1:15 A depression test on Google - is it a good idea?

There's a new idea to help people with depression - a screening test by search engine Google, to give those people looking to the internet for answers, find some guidance.

But the concept has split academics and those in mental health services around the world.

There's concern it could over-diagnose people and it may be simplifying a complicated issue.

We ask Marc Wilson, a Professor of Psychology at Victoria University, his opinion.

It was one of the most influential kiwi bands of the 80s and 90s, lead by the enigmatic Martin Phillipps, The Chills is a rock group that defined the Dunedin Sound.

Their story is being detailed in a new feature-length documentary, following the highs and lows of the band and Martin Phillips.

But the film does need help so the makers have set up a kickstarter campaign to get the ball rolling.

Producer Nicola Peeperkoorn tells us what to expect from the movie.

1:35 Sound Archives: Suffrage Day

National Prohibition of alcohol and rowdiness at the polling booths were some of the predictions about what would happen once New Zealand women got the vote for the first time in 1893.

3:10 Why Writing Well Matters

We're writing more than ever; emails, blogs, even tweets. But we are doing it badly according to Sir Harold Evans, the former editor of The Sunday Times of London and editor at large of Reuters.

He is a champion of clarity, and gives his advice for dispelling the fog of generalities in favour of crisp, clear details in well streamlined sentences. His book is called  Do I Make Myself Clear? Why Writing Well Matters

3:35 RNZ Eyewitness

In November 1982, for about two weeks, time stood still.  Not just for two climbers, stranded in an ice cave on the inhospitable Middle Peak of Mt Cook. But for New Zealand too, gripped by the prospect of a dramatic and potentially dangerous rescue in atrocious conditions.
