1:10 First song: Dominic Blaazer in session

You may not have heard of singer and keyboardist Dominic Blaazer - but he is well respected by New Zealand's highest profile musicians.

Since moving to New Zealand in the early 90's from Jamaica via the UK, he's been in high demand as a keyboardist for bands like The Chills, Garageland, Goldenhorse, The Topp Twins... the list goes on.

And now he's finally released an album of his own, The Lights of Te Atatu and performs a song for us in our Auckland studio.

Dr Drew Lorrey has been studying ancient swamp kauri since 2002 and has discovered it could fill huge holes in paleo archives on climate change that no other method such as carbon dating can.
