Simon's A-Z

From Afternoons, 1:22 pm on 25 September 2014

A to Z takes us to Foxton, a town in the Manawatu-Wanganui region. The town is located on the lower west coast of the North Island, in the Horowhenua district, 30 km southwest of Palmerston North and 15 km north of Levin. Foxton was named after Sir William Fox, and was once a thriving town, famous for its port (on the Manawatu River Loop) and its flax industry.
