From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 2:46 pm on 6 November 2014

Today's feature album is the 1972 debut from Hawaiian-born Bette Midler. 'The Divine Miss M' reached Billboard's Top 10, became a million-selling Platinum-certified album, and earned Midler the 1973 Grammy Award for Best New Artist. This week she announced that, for the first time in more than a decade, she will make 22-date tour next May and June. The 68 year-old has also released her first new album since 2006. Entitled 'It's the Girls', the CD features her versions of classic girl group songs from The Supremes, The Shirelles, TLC and many more.
