Peruvian fans in New Zealand

From Afternoons, 1:10 pm on 16 November 2017

We're just two hours away from the World Cup playoff clash in Lima, New Zealand against Peru for a spot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

While kiwi fans are hoping for an upset against a team ranked much higher, Peruvians are desperate to see their team at a world cup for the first time in more than three decades.

The crowd in Lima is huge for but there are many Peruvians who live in New Zealand who will be ducking out of work early to catch the the unmissable game.

One of those ardent fans is Miguel Rjas who, despite living here for 30 years, is proudly wearing red and white.
