Tell me about your thesis

Rosalie Hosking joins us from Japan, where she is doing a post doctoral fellowship.

She's an historian of Japanese mathematics specialising in the mathematical problems placed on wooden tablets and hung in shrines and temples during 1600-1868.

Her thesis is titled Sangaku: A Mathematical, Artistic, Religious, and Diagrammatic Examination, and you can read it here
