Talk the Walk: The Watercare Coastal Walkway

From Afternoons, 3:15 pm on 7 December 2018

The Watercare Coastal Walkway was opened in the 2005 when old oxidation ponds were removed and a $450 million transformation of the Manukau Harbour began. Community groups, members of Makarau Marae and Watercare staff helped transform the foreshore, building the tracks, planting more than 270,00 native plants and trees.

The 7km track stretches from Ambury park to Ōtuataua Stonefields.

Watercare environmental technician, Liam Templeton looks after the walkway and tells us about it
