Katherine Mansfield was New Zealand's first and most successful literary figure of note. She was a central figure in British modernism and revolutionised the art of short story writing. The annual Katherine Mansfield fellowship to Menton in France remains a prestigious prize for New Zealand writers. Gerri Kimber is the President of the Katherine Mansfield Society and has a knack for uncovering new Mansfield literary treasures.
