It's our weekly tour of New Zealand's lesser known communities, those rural heartland gems. Today we travel to Spencerville, a semi-rural area, just 20 minutes from Christchurch's Cathedral Square (unless you're driving in Christmas eve traffic). This coastal town backs on to a forest and sits adjacent to the east coast on Pegasus Bay.
