Your Place - Inangahua Junction

In the early hours of Friday morning May 24th 1968, a magnitude 7 earthquake jolted a small South Island community from it's slumbers. It was the largest and most devastating shake since the disastrous 1931 Hawkes Bay quake. The South Island town didn't quite crumble, though it was completely evacuated for a time.
