Many of us read The Hobbit as children, and then let the enchanting story of Bilbo Bagins and his adventures fade from our memories. J.R.R. Tolkien wrote The Hobbit in 1937 and it hasn't been out of print since. It's the pre-quel to The Lord of the Rings saga. For the next two years, we're going to be hearing a lot about Hobbits and dwarves and life in the Shire and beyond so we thought we'd have a lesson in The Hobbit.
