Topics - The independent MP Chris Carter won't be spending his summer hols in Sri Lanka. He's cancelled his taxpayer-subsided trip using the MPs' travel perk after details were leaked to the media. One of the teenagers charged with the attempted murder of a Senior Constable with a machete was once a poster boy for an anti-bullying programme in Rotorua. 18 year old Japhet Simiona made headlines in 2005 for taking part in a resorative justice programme to help him deal with his bullying at Sunset Junior High School.
