Plunket books could be phased out in favour of technology

From Afternoons, 2:15 pm on 27 June 2011

Plunket books, used by parents for decades to record the development of their young children, could be phased out by technology. Plunket is planning to give nurses and volunteers tablet computers to record details from home visits. Parents could then log on to a secure website to find out about their child's development. Brenda Hynes is Plunket's national clinical adviser.
