Meeting the UN Boss

From Afternoons, 2:24 pm on 8 September 2011

Forty-nine years ago, two Southland Girls High students went on a Red Cross sponsored cultural exchange trip to the US. Among the 130 delegates was the Korean teenager Ban Ki-Moon, now Secretary-General of the United Nations. Shirley Keen from Invercargill and Jocelyn Jones from Geraldine received a surprise invite to have breakfast with the Secretary General while he is in New Zealand for the Pacific Forum this week.
