Poisonous front-fanged sea snakes have washed up, still alive, in Manukau Harbour a few times, but thankfully they landed straight in a preserving jar at the Auckland Museum. Brian Gill looks after the museum's collection of vertebrate animals, and, as he tells Veronika Meduna, the story of the sea snakes in just one of many tales collected in his latest book - 'The Owl that Fell from the Sky'.
