From Jesse Mulligan, 1–4pm, 2:09 pm on 12 June 2013

Brian James Curtis, the 79-year-old former drug lord, led the kind of life that is the stuff of crime novels. A successful property developer, he turned to a life of crime and drug dealing in the 1970s bringing millions of dollars worth of heroin and LSD into the country before he was finally caught. University of Canterbury criminologist Greg Newbold has followed the exploits of Brian Curtis.
