How blood from a dog saved Rory the cat

Rory the cat from Tauranga has a black lab named Macy to thank for saving his life. Rory, a six-and-a-half-year old ginger cat, swallowed rat poison and urgently needed a blood transfusion. With no time to do a blood type test veterinarian Kate Heller told the owner Rory's only chance might be a blood transfusion from a dog. Macy's owner agreed to the donation.
