Topics - The government is looking towards a new pension scheme, which would allow us to make a decision on when we'd like to retire and how much pension we'd like to claim. The proposed scheme would allow people to retire at 60 and claim a lower weekly payout, or retire as late as 70 and receive a larger pension packet. David Cunliffe in the race now for the Labour leadership with a "presidential" style launch. He told the gathering he's ready to be leader, called John Key the "50 million dollar Gorilla", says he'll tax the rich, and backed up living in Herne Bay by saying it allowed his lawyer wife to breastfeed more easily.
