Topics - Auckland's Mayor Len Brown has defended salaries of nearly $800,000 a year for two senior council executives, telling a public meeting, "You have got to meet the market." Listeners have complained to us about the scruffy state not just of Auckland's berms but also roundabouts, road reserves and traffic islands. In the latest news it's been confirmed that Auckland will reimburse you for accident and injury sustained whilst mowing your berm. A Christchurch City Councillor, Yani Johansson, wants the council to consider a full official apology to those who were killed or injured in the collapse of the CTV building.
