Topics - Mark Lundy's convictions for murdering his wife and daughter have been quashed and he will stand trial again. The Law Lords of the Privy Council have unanimously ruled there was a risk that Lundy suffered a miscarriage of justice at the trial, where a jury found him guilty of killing Christine and their daughter, Amber, in their Palmerston North home in August 2000. The reality TV series The Block has been cleared to hold two weekend open homes - and that has raised fears of traffic mayhem on one of Auckland's busiest roads. We began to discuss home-building costs, and a figure of $2500 per square metre was cited as normal now.
