Topics - at what point are noise complaints unreasonable? The well-known Christchurch chef Jonny Schwass is pondering that question today after somebody made a complaint that interrupted a Sunday afternoon live music session. Were you aware that it is against the law to have a three-railed gate leading to a swimming pool? You cannot have a gate with three horizontal support rails in case a child puts a foot up on the middle rail and climbs the gate. Long-service leave for District Court judges has increased from 65 days every five years to 100 days. The entitlement was negotiated in 2008 and took effect in September with no public announcement or discussion.
