Aparrently the beard craze has grown so popular in Brooklyn that men are rushing to doctors for "facial hair transplants" - surgery that helps make beards look thicker and less patchy. The policeman who shot a shark during an attempt to recover the body of Adam Strange after an attack at Muriwai a year ago will be formally recognised for his efforts. Auckland City Hospital is assuring the public it doesn't have a stomach bug outbreak as more visitors come forward with stories about falling ill with painful bouts of vomiting and diarrhoea. Proposed changes to the Consumer Law Reform bill will allow parties to "contract out" of the Fair Trading Act in certain circumstances. One of the more contentious paragraphs in the order paper concerns insurance contracts.
