D Day - Jonathan Tucker

From Afternoons, 2:10 pm on 6 June 2014

Today is the 70th anniversary of D-Day, the largest seaborne invasion in modern history, in which no New Zealand ground forces took part - or at least, that's been the accepted view. Southlander Jonathan Tucker says the discovery of three simple words in the diary of Brigadier James Hargest could change New Zealand history. Simon talks with the amateur local historian and drama teacher at James Hargest College.
