Ministry defends slashing gambling group's funding

A Ministry of Health lawyer is defending its decision to slash the Problem Gambling Foundation's funding, saying it is unfair to suggest the ministry was asleep at the wheel. The foundation lost the contract for almost three quarters of its services in March, though the shift to the Salvation Army has been put on hold while the case is fought in court.
