The Waitangi Tribunal has been told children are losing a wealth of Maori knowledge because of Ministry of Education regulations; An Auckland trust, set up to conserve land known as the Fort Takapuna Historic Reserve, has withdrawn its legal action against the Crown; The Tauranga-based Iwi, Ngati Ranginui has launched a campaign to find more than five-thousand of its people spread throughout the country and overseas; In a week's time, thousands of Maori from throughout Australia will be converging on Canberra for their regional competition to select their finalists to send to Te Matatini national kapa haka festival in Rotorua next year.
