Epicurean Auckland: Best Ugly Bagels

Amelia Nurse grew up in Canada and would regularly visit friends in the city of Montreal. Amongst the enchantments of that French speaking city is its unique take on bagels. Encountering these bagels for the first time years ago on his OE, Al Brown thought so too - and now he's opened his own Montreal bagel shop at the City Works Depot at the corner of Wellesley and Nelson Streets in Auckland. Al is already respected as a chef, fisherman, TV presenter and food writer. Amelia decided to see how he's doing as a bagel man.
