Car crashes into East Coast Marae

From Five O'clock Report, 5:21 pm on 5 January 2016

The front entrance way of an east coast Marae has been torn apart after a car was used to ram through it. Members of Ngai Ta-manuhiri iwi have just finished performing a whakawatea or prayer at the wharenui named after their ancestor Rangiwaho. The marae which is located 30 kilometres south of Gisborne at Bartletts in Poverty Bay was opened in 2012. Our Maori Issues Correspondent Mihingarangi Forbes has been looking into today's accident.
