Auckland Property Market Showing Signs of Slowing

Auckland's sky high property market is showing signs of plateauing, with prices looking static for the second month in a row. The December figures from the city's biggest Real Estate agency, Barfoot and Thompson, back up other measures that show the number of houses being sold is falling and that prices are not rising. The company's director, Peter Thompson, says that's partly because of a new rule that requires buyers and sellers of properties to supply a New Zealand IRD number. But he's not ready to use the word "plateau"
