For the first time the amount of digital information about us is exceeding that created by us.
It's dubbed the digital shadow and we leave a trail of digital information as we use everyday technology.
There is also the information willingly revealed - most often on social networking sites such as Bebo and Facebook.
Is this information putting people's privacy at risk, or is it all part of living in a wired world?
